Canadian Nature Photographer

May 3 , 2016 Newsletter

Dear Friends and new subscribers welcome.

With beautiful spring weather many of us our heading out to take photographs. I have finished teaching and I am working on a book about Canadian Nature Photography.

Because I am spending most of my spare time working on the book I have not had time to post new articles and for that I apologize. I plan to have a prototype of the book that I will layout in Blurb this summer. The book covers scenes from all across Canada and includes a chapter on the Art of seeing and visual elements of design. My hope is this book will appeal to photographers, nature lovers, and travellers. I will show some of the best locations to take photographs in Canada from over a 40 years period.

Tentative cover and title for my new book

I also plan to sell an e-book version on my site

Accommodations in Golden for Saturday night is not included but up to the guests. Cost of a Hotel room in Golden is about $150-$200 depending on where you stay. I can make recommendations.

On Sunday morning we will have an early breakfast and head out for some early morning photography before heading over to the Northern Lights wolf center for another walk with the wolves in a different location.

For photography it is recommended that you bring a wide angle lens and a medium telephoto lens e.g. 70-200 mm as you will be to get very close to the wolves.
